Hi everyone,

I hope someone from this superb community or from an Adobe Customer Service Rep can help me please.

I bought Adobe CS6 Design + Web Premium quite a while back now that i had installed and used successfully on my 27" iMac for years untill last week when the Fusion drive in my imac failed.

Apple tried everything to rescue the Fusion Hard drive but they told me my imac was useless now as an operationg system could not be installed on it etc after it failed, so i was forced to buy a new 27" imac this week.

With the failure of the fusion drive on my old imac, i lost all my programs from Microsoft and especially my Adobe CS6 Suite.

I tried installing the CS6 Suite that i had bought (at quite a lot of money) from the original disc i had from my original purchase but it could not find the adobe server to complete the install.

I know my CS6 is old and now not supported by Adobe from what i have read on the forums, but it did what i wanted and because i am fighting a severe cancer diagnosis for the last few years, i never upgraded, because i didn't know how long i would be here!.....however on checking my Adobe account, the CS6 Design + Web Premium is on my Adobe Producs page for download along with Lightroom which i also purchased a while back also.

I have just downloaded the CS6 Suite from the Adobe Products page on my account onto my new imac but it will not install, and come up with a warning message saying 'We've encountered the following ussues - Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advosor to detect the problem'. I tried to get the Adobe Advisor but it won't work either.

Could someone please help me to get the Adobe CS6 Suite which i bought and that is on my Abode Products page for me to download as i would like to finish a few personal cards that  i would like to design and leave for my son and daughter before i have to leave this earth, as my cancer treatment is not going to well at present.

I have been using Adobe products for over 25 years, always buying the discs as we used to back then and never had an issue, but because of a Fusion hard drive failure i have lost the ability to use the Adobe products i have used and loved for so long.

I have attached some images of the Adobe procts i have in my account for download as well as the error message i got after trying to install the adobe Design + Web Premium from my account for you to see.

If anyone can please help me with getting my Adobe Web + Premium download to work from the adobe website to work or can help me get my original disc to work for an install it would really be greatly appreciated as i have bought this Adobe product originally and have all the discs and packaging etc.....and would it would also help me get a few final things in place to leave for my family.

Thank you everyone for all and any help you can give with this

Kind regards

Fergus Grant

your mac os is probably not compatible with 32 bit apps and therefore not compatible with a cs6 installation.

Hi

Thank you for your reply to my post. I should have said in my original post that i was running Mac OS High Sierra which ran Adobe CS6 absolutley fine for years, that is another reason i didn't upgrade my creative suite because nearly any mac OS after High Sierra meant that the CS6 Suite would not run.

I'll amend my original post. Thank you again for the reply its greatly appreciated

Regards

Fergus

i just saw (and removed) that you posted your serial number.  if that was harvested, it will be banned.  ie, don't do that.

Hi

thank you for your update and for removing the serial number, that is very much appreciated. The new iMac which im using right now has Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6, which is the exact same OS that was on the iMac that failed on me and the CS6 Suite ran totally fine. I bout this new iMac with the same Mac OS High Sierra  assuming that the original CS6 Suite install disc would run fine, as it had before. I had also installed it on my old Mac Book Pro as well which i later sold.

I had saw this 'work around' you have kindly pointed out, and i went to my Adobe acccount which shows clearly that the CS6 Design + Web Premium is there to download. I tried downloading it this morning and it would not work, and i attached the error message i was getting. I then went here to post on this discussion for help.

My issue is that adobe has clearly put the CS6 Suite on my 'Products Page' but the download will not work, so i am hoping that someone can help sort out the error in the installation process.

I appreciate you taking the time to help me

regards
