Illustrator 2019 Update Fails Again, as Always

I wonder if I'll live long enough to see Adobe fix whatever keeps causing the 145 errors that people complain about when trying to use the CC installer to update their CC apps? Probably not.

How do I get this stupid piece of software to update? I tried uninstalling Illustrator CC 2019, with the intention of re-installing it...but after uninstalling the app, now the installation fails with the same 145 error!

What do I need to do? Sacrifice a goat at dawn or something?

For this I pay a monthly fee? Doesn't the software have to actually work -- which includes being able to handle the updates it itself demands -- in order for a fee to be justified?

you need a compatible os.  update yours.
