InDesign 2023 hangs on startup. Brand New Mac Studio, first time opening the app.

My Mac Studio is fresh out the box, everything up to date on latest version of Ventura. Latest version of InDesign, first time trying to open and just a spinning wheel with "InDesign not responding" in the Activity Monitor. No errors, just the wheel. Left it for 30 minutes to see if it would resolve but nothing. Tried to uninstall and reinstall through Creative Cloud, but same issue persists.

Do other CC apps do the same thing (eg Photoshop)? Or do they work OK?

uninstall the preferences:

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then restart your computer

 

then reinstall id
