Hi,

I have CC install on C: drive.

I go to Pref>Apps>Change the install location to D: drive. CC refreshes.

I install Photoshop and it installs on C: drive NOT D: drive.

I uninstall and reinstall and it still installs on C: drive.

How do I install my programs on another drive?

Am I doing somehting wrong? I've Googled the web and found no solution.

Thanks!

OK! I figure it out!

I ran the uninstaller/repair found here - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

I did a repair. Then opened CC. Pref > Apps > Install Location > Changed to the desired drive (D drive in my case) > Uninstalled Photoshop > Reinstalled Photoshop. BAM! It installed on the correct drive. I'm guessing CC was bugged.

Please note: Some files and folders will still be installed on the C: drive.

Thanks Axel for your reply but I'm not sure this answers my question.

To clarify. CC is install on C drive. When I change the preferences to install Photoshop on D drive it still installs on C drive. If I navigate to the D drive folder location (where photoshop should be installed) the folder is empty.

C drive has only 5gb remaing.

By @Galactic Fantastic

That is a problem.  Even if you manage to install it on the D drive, you will have performance issues.

You need more space for temp and system files, as well as Windows updates.

It's time for a larger C drive.

This still doesn't explain why photoshop can't be install on the D drive.

I've made more room on the C drive now. 50gb free. Why cant I install photoshop on the D drive though?
