Hi, I tried to reinstall CS 6 on my Mac High Sierra. I downloaded the .dmg file from my Adobe account. However there is an error message popping up immediatly, stating that a file is missing to initialize the installer of Adobe.
Anyone here to help me?

Apple did not maintain backward compatibility, so try this to install old programs

Great response. It works, that the installer is running. Now the next issue appeared. 😞
The error message "Create a connection to the internet and try again" appeares, eventhough the computer is connecte via the WIFI. Any clue?

retry downloading or use prodesigntools:
adobe download links prior to cc 2020 are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html
follow the directions (esp, step 1)
save the install file. it may not remain online.

CS6 is more than a decade out of date & unsupported. Even with a supporting computer, a legal license & original installation disks that you received at purchase, eventually CS6 activation will be impossible due to its advanced age.
This might be a good time to explore replacement options.

"CS6 is more than a decade out of date & unsupported" How can this be? I purchased CS6 9 years ago and it was definitely NOT out of date. Not sure when they stopped supporting it. I'm having the same problems as the OP, including the erroneous 'no internet connection' message! I'm following this post incase someone can shed light on why Adobe can't validate their own serial numbers.

Log-in to your Adobe account below.
https://account.adobe.com/products.
Assuming you purchased from Adobe and registered your product, your serial number should be recorded there.
If you didn't purchase from Adobe, contact the vendor who sold it to you (if they're still in business).
See Adobe genuine Products:

If you feel you may have purchased a non-genuine product from a fraudulent seller, report it here:

it can be because adobe supports the latest and one previous version. that makes cs6 unsupported for years.
to start with tracking that error message when using an old os, check your browser's tls version.
ie, your default browser must support tls 1.2, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html
to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.htmlhttps://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/...

TLS 1.2 is now required to connect https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

I donwloaded the lastest firefox and it supports TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3.
The Ping-pong internet test was sucessful.
There is only one user account (the admin).
Now I do the lastest software updates and hope this will fix the issue. 🙂

did you see both logos after clicking "link" here http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html?
if you can and still see a connection error try these steps, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/common-network-connectivity-issues.html
if those all fail, white list the adobe network endpoints, https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

do NOT post your serial number in public. if that's discovered your serial number will be invalidated.

I installed the program without problems (had to close the safari bookmark manuelly), but I still can^t activate the product. The product is with the correct licence number registered in my adobe account. It's not installed on any other machine.
I tried the offline registration, but the webpage www.adobe.com/go/get_activated_de does not exist anymore. 😞
I followed all the steps suggested my you guys before, still the same issue 😞

offline registration is still available. interestingly, when i tested it didn't recognize my email = my adobe id. i used my (registered with adobe) secondary address and that did work,
https://aoes-stage.licensingstack.com/aoes/aoes/v1/imsauthstatus
now, whether you have to use a europe site, or not, i do not know, but try the link above. it can't hurt to try.

I was able to install the program and finally was able to get to the offline registration page. I also had to use a different login way (via Google account). It would not allow my primary email for the login.
However, after pasting in the key and serial number, the error message "invalid serial number" appeared. In my adobe account, the product is registered and there are no devices where the product is installed.
Any idea why this message comes?

serial numbers are typically invalidated because the vendor violated their terms or service or the user (you) violated your terms of service. eg, sharing your serial number (like you inadvertently did here) will result in your serial number being invalidated. (though i don't think your serial number was exposed long enough to cause the current problem.) ie, your serial number was probably invalidated previous to posting here.
i recommend you contact adobe support, and clarify if your serial number is invalid. if it is, why was it invalidated and when was it invalidated.
who was the vendor that sold you that cs6?
