Is Adobe really a leader in cloud services?

For a company that claims to be a leader in cloud services, you can't even retain the old threads when upgrading the forum software:

Between August 22nd through the launch date of September 9th, we will be transitioning our Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, eLearning Suite, and Technical Communication Suite community experience. During this time, we wanted you to be aware that all new threads posted and replies to existing posts in these forums will, unfortunately, be lost.

Even the lowliest UBB forum system can do that. So why should we trust any of your cloud offerings?

Lol... worthy question though, to be fair, I think the wording is meant to indicate that posts made during that window will be lost, not the entirety of all old discussions.  That is to say, new threads or new replies to old threads are the only things that won't make the transition. Maybe it's like a moving truck... you can load stuff at the origin point or at the destination, but you can't randomly toss on a couch as the rig is rolling down the highway.

That's a good analogy, right? Cloud storage is TOTALLY like a U-Haul.

This posts says that on August 22nd the situation on the old forum is snapshot and that snapshot migrates to the new system. Anything that happens after August 22nd on the old system is lost after the new system goes on-line on September 9th.

That's true, but what about being unable to launch on September 9th as planned?
The new forum was actually accessible on the morning of September 12, JST. It will be the night of September 11th in PST.
