At work we are still using the old CS 6 versions of Photoshop and InDesign.

We have ordered a set of new M1-Macs, and thinking about buying the latest versions of Photoshop and Indesign. We will run on the case-sensetive versions of APFS, and the local seller told us that - the latest versions of - InDesign CC 2021 and Photoshop 2020 not will run on a case-sensetive file system. Is this correct ?
We have some custom made inhouse software requireing case-sensetive file system, so we need to be carefull and do some preparation and research now before we buy and set up new machines.

Back on track: Does the latest versions of the mentiones applications running on the case-sensetive versions of APFS and MacOS Big Sur ?

Thank you

I'm thinking, is it then possible to instal the applications on an external drive or do the actual OS be case-insensitive no matter ?

LATEST

Install on non-boot drive https://community.adobe.com/t5/get-started/moving-ps-and-lr-classic-from-internal-hd-to-an-external-...

HOWEVER... some parts MUST be installed on the boot drive, so you have to have an old style boot drive
