Hallo,

LR 5 is very old and not compatible with modern operationg system. You can't be sure that LR5 is running properly. It can be, but it also can't be. On modern operating system, especially on MacOS the installation program isn't supported and doesn't run.

Which operating system do you use?

To generate a "normal" serial number from a redemption code please take a look here:

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 10 Pro 22H2 -- LR-Classic 13.2 - Photoshop 25.6 - Nik Collection 6.9 - PureRAW 4 - Topaz Photo AI 2

Hello Axel,

my operating sytem is Windows 10. Actualy, I use LR4.4 and it's running perfectly. So I think, LR5 will work.

Unfortunately it doesn't work to generate a "normal" serial number from a redemption code. 😞

Are there no other options?

Are you shure that's a redemption code and not a "normal" serial number. A serial number contains 24 digits (4 digits in 6 groups)  like this 1111-2222-3333-4444-5555-6666.

No, there is a card in the dvd-box called "Abruf der Seriennummer", which contains a code to generate the serial number online (www.adobe.com/go/getserial_de). But it doesn't work. According to the message the "code" is not activated. 😞

The only chance I see is to contact the Adobe support.

I think it doesn't work because LR 5 is very old and no more supported.
