I purchased Lightroom6 upgrade a week ago and it was running, though when opening a message came on: Adobe Application Manager, required to verify your license, is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager. I clicked on the message box and Lightroom 6 opened. Now, it won't open, and I downloaded application manager. However, I can't install it. It's just a zip file called setup, with a folder called Payloads, and a single file, none of which work. Thanks.

Thanks for your help! my Application Manager was either outdated or broken. I downloaded the new Manager from Lightroom CC and now all is well.

I am having the same problem. I LOVE the old Lightroom 6. I have used it continuously until this week, when it would not upload photos (using .dng). It says my application manager is missing. Where can I find a copy? The links above are invalid.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not work. I do not have the Creative Cloud, but a standalone perpetual license copy of Lightroom 6.
