Hi in have been using Lightroom 6 for years (many thousands of images....) but have just had to buy a new PC.
I know dowloads are discontinued but I still had the original install files and serial numbers, so I did manage to install it, but when I open it I am asked to register the product.
To do this I have to login to Adobe, which confirms registration, but the newly installed program does not seem to recognise it.... So it always asks for registration when I try to open it and I can't make that stick.
Is it really true that if you are unfortunate enough to need to move to a new PC, that's the end for you as a user of LR6????

The aged out activation services are no longer functioning at 100%.
You should budget for modern software that's compatible with your new system.

how did you manage to swap lr6 to a new pc? I am currently facing this dillemma and like you I am a long time user of lr6 with a fresh pc.

you need the a compatible os, the installation file and your serial number. do have them?

ah I might be sol, I was able to retrieve my installation file from my old pc, I was able to download it and put in my serial#, but when I sign in the app fails to launch. I am now on windows 11, I assume this might be the issue.
