Hello,

My lightroom download stops at 42% on my creative cloud application and I have no idea why!

I looked up some similar situations, and for each situation it says to log out and log back in. However, I cannot log out of my account and have no idea why!

My computer is a Macbook Pro, 2011. It works perfectly fine, but i don't know why lightroom won't download and why im having these problems.

Thanks

Brytan8888 I am sorry that you are facing difficulties installing Lightroom CC 2015 on Mac OS.  What version of Mac OS are you installing Lightroom on?

Brytan8888 you mentioned you were unable to sign out?  What error is preventing you from signing out of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application?

I would recommend reviewing the installation log to determine why Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015 is failing to install.  Details on how to locate the installation log can be found at Troubleshoot Adobe Creative Cloud install issues with log files .  Please post any errors you discover to this discussion Brytan8888.

Hello,

The version of Mac OS that I am currently on is Sierra 10.12.5.

I cannot tell you why the desktop application will not allow me to sign out. I click the sign out button and after it does nothing.

Thanks

Brytan8888 thank you for the update.  Do you use a System optimizer utility or did you recently restore your applications and documents from a back up?

From the error message it appears that currently installed files, in this case the Application.xml is unable to be read and moved to the required location.

To resolve this error I would recommend removing all installed Adobe Creative applications including Lightroom CC 2015.  To do so please complete the following steps Brytan8888:

  1. Run all available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers - Uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps
  2. Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application after all other applications are removed
  3. Download and run the CC Cleaner Tool - Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
  4. Download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application and Lightroom CC 2015 - Download and install Creative Cloud apps

This should restore the required files.  Also the current version of Lightroom CC 2015 will be installed as part of the installation process through the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Please update this discussion if you have any questions, or encounter additional errors, Brytan8888.
