Low Disk Space but there's plenty of room available

So I'm getting the error code 120 of insufficient disk space but I specifically told it to go download on my D drive which has 411 GB free of 931 GB. I'm just trying to download photoshop and it keeps giving me this error despite having loads of space available.

Some parts of the system must install on the boot drive

How large is your C drive and how much free space is available on it?

You need enough free space on the C drive for system and temp files.
