Migrating Creative Cloud applications to a new Mac

I have an iMac 2017 and want to migrate my computer to a new MacMini M4. Right now, all my Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) are Intel-based. But I know that Adobe has Universal applications that will work on both Intel and Silicon Macs.

My question: When I do the migration to the new computer, I assume it will migrate the Intel applications to my new MacMini. If I want to get the Universal applications on my new computer, what is the best strategy for doing so? Migrate all my applications to the new computer and then delete and reinstall? Or will Creative Cloud recognize that I'm now on a Silicon-based Mac and somehow will either ask me to reinstall or will show a way to install the Universal applications?

Basically, how does this all work? Thx. (Also posted in Creative Cloud Services)

Thanks for your question, Outtacontext, and congratulations on your new M4 Mac Mini! Please see the section titled, "How can I transfer Adobe apps from my old computer to my new Mac computer with Apple silicon" in https://adobe.ly/3ZsgKUo for information on how to migrate successfully to the new computer.

My best advice is to only migrate the documents and settings to prevent any Intel applications from moving to the new computer and causing conflicts or unexpected behavior. ^JW

So, even though my System Information application list says that my Adobe applications are Intel-based, according to the link you sent me, it says that those applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, et al.) will run natively on my new Silicon-based Mac. Is that a correct assumption or do I really have Intel-based Photoshop on my old iMac 2017?

Outtacontext, I am unsure if you saw my previous response, but please review https://adobe.ly/4iCmtQ2 for answers to your questions.

As we have all stated, please avoid copying/migrating any applications to your new computer to avoid any problems. Copying an incompatible app can lead to problems on your new computer. ^JW

properly uninstall adobe apps (after deactivating, if older versions- but ask about this first) from your old computer

then migrate old to new

then properly install adobe apps onto your new computer

@Outtacontext

don't bother.  the messages have been merged so there's no cross-posting.  both replies (to posts in different locations) say the same thing.  read either to see how install adobe apps onto a new computer.  ie, don't migrate installed adobe apps.
