I transferred my adobe master suit cs4 to my new computer. When I open up a program (photoshop, illustrator, etc) I get error message 131:4

You do not transfer from one computer to another... you put the disc you bought in the drive and do a new install so the licensing system may make the correct entries when you enter your serial number

Well, since that version is no longer available you are going to have to buy something new
Adobe's current is a subscription https://creative.adobe.com/plans

That sucks considering the $ I spent on it. Currently can't afford the subscription which graphic design is my main source of income.

Sorry, but nobody here can help when you lose your disc
Do be VERY careful if someone contacts you with an offer to sell you CS4
There are a LOT of fakes or hacked versions that people try and pass of as real

You may want to consider charging your clients enough so that you can cover the expense.

I do charge them. I just bought a new computer so I'm low on cash. No need
