Hi Jnnfrcyl,

As per your description you were getting 'Error 16' when launching Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 after you transferred all your data from old machine to the new Mac, is that correct?

I would recommend you to turn off any security software, firewalls, browser ad-ons for the time being and follow the instructions shared in the following help document:Resolve connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications, now try activating your Adobe CS6 suite again and see

Hi Jnnfrcyl,

As per your description you were getting 'Error 16' when launching Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 after you transferred all your data from old machine to the new Mac, is that correct?

I would recommend you to turn off any security software, firewalls, browser ad-ons for the time being and follow the instructions shared in the following help document:Resolve connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications, now try activating your Adobe CS6 suite again and see if that works.

As 'Error 16' is a permission related error there are chances that it may still pop up on your screen, so if you see the error again follow the steps given in the following help document to resolve it: Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud.(steps are same for CS6)

Let us know if this helps.

  • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!
