My iMac crashed on 'scratch disks are full' when using photoshop and after effects. Had to reinstall MacOs and updated immediately from Catalina to Ventura. Reïnstalled from time machine backup but also reïnstalled Photoshop (latest version) and now any time I open Photoshop and click on anything, I get the message 'Photoshop could not complete your request because of a program error' and only thing left to do is to force quit photoshop.
Mac is an Intel iMac from 2019 with 3,1 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 and Radeon Pro 575X 4 GB. Tried several things to fix, including installing the photoshop version that was running on my Mac before the crash. Photoshop says GPU is compatible.
What to do to fix this?

using apple's time machine is a problem. you might be able to shoehorn a fix (and we can work on that if you want to try), but it's probably going to be problematic and incomplete. so, the best fix is the complete fix:
backup your data
reset your computer to it's new state
update your os
restore your data
propertly install cc*
*
install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.
if you have trouble downloading the cc desktop app or you see an error message when trying to install, make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
