Photoshop CS6 update fails to install

Photoshop CS6 update fails to install.  I have both the full Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 and Photoshop and LR CC loaded.  However, I was having this update failure before I purchased PS & LR CC.  I extracted the errors/warnings and INFO entries from the installation log that looked like they may be of interest. uninstall (using your control panel) all cs6 programs

clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

restart your computer

retry installing

Also, At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager into the Cloud update manager, which means you are no longer using your original update manager

I have read some messages that the latest (Cloud) updater sometimes doesn't work with old programs... Try installing your updates manually
