Photoshop Elements 12 (mac OS 10.14.2) keeps crashing

I installed PE 12 on my MacBook Pro over six months ago and was working great with the Yosemite OS. Just upgraded to Mojave (10.14.2) and now whenever I open it, I can load an image, but the second I click on the image or try to do anything, it crashes with the error "Photoshop Elements 12 Editor quit unexpectedly." I upgraded PE 12 to the most recent version (12.1), I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still get the same error. Help!

Owners of old programs simply have problems with new Mac operating systems... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system
