Hi,
I am trying to install PSE 2022 for the first time, and after failing with the online installer, I got the offline version. Only to find out that they fail with the same log post. Both varies in freezing at 2 or 6 % progress.
Like the picture shows (install.log), I get the impression that as even the offline installer fails, it has nothing (at least primarily) to do with any connection to a online server failing (like most of the posting about failed installations here seems to relate to). The last post in the log is where it ends, as the installer has to be forced shutdown as it freezes in an endless loop (at least it seems so, after waiting an hour for it to continue without doing any progress...).
I've gone through all of the KBs I have found on your site (and carried out what they said) about the subject of failing installation, and can confirm that this installation isn't blocked by any communications problem (firewall/AV disabled etc.). Local admin access, so no restriction on that level either.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times (ACC also), but without any luck. Have used the cleanup tool too, but without any different outcome.
As seen in the picture, the HW spec is beyond requirements for PSE (but that would perhaps not affect the installer anyway..?).
Any suggestions that will bring up a solution to this would be appreciated!
Ps. PSE 2012 installed happily, though. Offline. 🙂
KGLAD, search Adobe offical site for "ProDesignTools.com" and you will find several pages with info. Consider pros and cons before downloading from a non Adobe site.
I can happily announce that I have found a workaround solution to my problem. Perhaps it might be of help to someone else still feeling frustrated over this/a similar problem. I will end my case here (even though it is a workaround, and not a complete solution).

You may need to install the Creative Cloud app in order to install PSE 2022.

I needed to install the Creative Cloud app to install PSE 2020 on Windows 11.

Sorry if I was unclear earlier. When I wrote ACC, I meant the Adobe Creative Cloud app. So unfortunately, that was a dead end to a solution to solve my problem.
Even so, I must say that it sounds a bit strange that a tool requiring online access would be needed when installing a offline version of the program. That much spoils the whole idea in case the purpose is to install to a device without online access...
But thanks anyway. Keep your ideas coming! I am all ears. 🙂

This goes for Windows 11 (Pro), but I guess similar action on earlier version of the OS would do just the same.
1. Run msconfig.exe
2. Second tab, check Failsafe boot, Network and Simple graphics (or whatever the english translation is 🙂
3. Restart into Failsafe mode
4. After booting up, install PSE (I was even able to use the online installer at this point)
5. Restart computer into normal mode (if it still goes into Failsafe mode, run msconfig.exe again and select Normal boot, then reboot)
Unfortunately ACC still won't work as intended after reboot, but for me I am happy enough that PSE 2022 is up and running.
Conclusion: The error is likely related to something concerning the OS graphics (using latest driver already, so I will have to dig deeper to find out more exactly what the real cause is), and in my case, not related to the communication between client and Adobe servers (as stated in many other posts about similar problems on this forum).
