Looking for some advice.
I hava an older iMac that was running oSX Yosemite
with Adobe Ps and Lr installed on it. I decided
it was time to upgrade the oSX. I wiped the drive and
did a clean oSX Big Sur install.
After the install I found out that Big Sur does not
support printing, no print drivers. I'm using a Canon
PIXMA MG8220. So I have not install Ps or Lr yet.
Have you ran into this problem? If so what are you advising?
Note it is not just Canon printers it's all printers
in general. No Big Sur printer support.
Is Adobe supported on Mac Big Sur?
Should I go back to a prior version of oSX?
What Mac version would you recommend? I'm assuming
I do not need to go back to Yosemite.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

This isn't an Adobe issue. See Apple Support below.

Hope that helps.

Printing is absolutely supported and many print drivers are supplied by Apple. In your case, check with Canon to see if there is a newer software package.

I'm using a Canon PIXMA MG8220.
As Nancy says, this topic is best posted to a Canon or Apple forum.
Canon supports many, but not all, of its printers on Big Sur.
See list here: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=FAQ100584
Unfortunately, the PIXMA MG8220 is not supported on Big Sur so there is no Canon driver is available.
If a suitable driver is not included in Big Sur and you cannot print without a driver then it looks like your best option may be to invest in a new printer which is compatible with Big Sur.
