I am trying to install Creative Cloud on a new computer (Windows 10, Intel Core i7, 12 MB). I got the message that installation was successful, however, when I try to initialize the software, I get the msg "VCRUNTIME140.dll not found" and it doesn't start. When I try to uninstall Creative Cloud using the creative cloud uninstaller, I get a message saying that uninstall was concluded with errors.

What should I do to fix this problem?

Hi Leandro,

As per your description, it seems that the CC desktop never installed properly and in the attempt to uninstall it certain folders may have been corrupted.

You'll have to manually uninstall the CC desktop app and then install it again, to do that please follow the troubleshooting steps given in the following forum thread: Photoshop Installation Failed.

Please use the direct download links given here to install the app again: How to download Creative Cloud desktop app.

I have downloaded and correctly placed the MSCVP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll in the adequate folder (Windows/SysWOW64), as suggested by a number of different sites. However, although the message regarding the missing dlls is not showing anymore, I'm still getting a message saying that the software could not be initialized..

Thanks for trying to help!

Hi, I'm getting the MSCVP140.dll not found error as well. I uninstalled CC app manually, then reinstalled with same results. This is a brand new pc I'm installing to but I have applied all Win 10 updates.

I also tried accessing the Photoshop install failed link but i'm getting an access denied.
