Just how many voices do you guys need to hear to finally start making money by providing users of Linux based distros with your software?

The market share of Linux is small, true. But it's small also "thanks" to you who are not providing users with professional software so they could finally start doing their jobs without dual-booting/installing VMs.

Provide the tools and you'll see market share growing.

For the god's sake, there is no even an Adobe Reader available - can you provide at least that?

You aren't talking to Adobe.

Adobe Reader was available 10 years ago, but presumably the number of downloads showed it wasn't worth the effort.

So, you are saying it's Adobe's duty to make software for Linux, even though the market share is small and there is no immediate prospect of making back their investment. And that they should do this so the market share can increase - and Linux cannot thrive unless commercial companies take a gamble? You aren't really selling this.

 It's small just because developers of professional software have decided not to make software available for Linux. Which is the reason why the market share is low. And the cycle repeats.

It's a classic example of Catch-22. It seems that Adobe won't move a finger towards making Linux more accessible for professionals unless something horrible/wonderful will happen.

Microsoft realized that and is moving towards Linux. There is already Visual Studio available, Edge browser is in beta version.

Edge is interesting. This is part of Microsoft's war with Google (did you know that downloading Chrome with Edge will throw up messages saying what an old piece of junk you are downloading?).  I think this analogy is correct: if a serious rival appears on Linux and starts to cost Adobe serious revenue, this may motivate them. But for sure, they don't see it as their job to boost market share of someone's favourite system. Heck, they have dropped support for Windows 7, and older Mac systems, leaving subscribers on those systems high and dry.
