PSD CS6 registration on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

HI All

I purchased PSD CS6 extended in 2012 and have been using it on a Mac which recently died.  I have purchased a refurbished 2016 iMac running OS sierra 10.12.6 and am having difficulty with recognition by Adobe of the purchase serial number.  Can anyone please advise any suggestions.
