i just purchased the creative cloud subscription from my university's wesbite for the education pricing. however even when i log in with my computer email on creative cloud it still is prompting me to buy the software. i already purchased the bundle, how do i get it to sync with the app??

If none of that works, ask your university computer manager

check your account to verify your subscription is what you expect and to verify your adobe id, https://accounts.adobe.com
if that shows no subscription, you need to contact your school's adobe plan admin and make sure you have a plan and make sure you know your adobe id.
if your adobe account page shows your subscription, sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using the same adobe id used to verify your subscription: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

1. Open CC Desktop App.
2. Click your Avatar (top right image) > Preferences > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
3. Click on your Avatar again.
4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
5. Close all apps.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Open CC Desktop app.
8. Click your Avatar.
9. Sign-in with your paid ID and password.
