Purchasing Illustrator from Ebay

Has anyone ever purchased Illustrator from Ebay? Any version...it's okay to do, right? Don't want another monthly payment, can't afford it. Thought I would try Ebay.

You can't buy any CC version with a permanent license.

On ebay you will most likely get fraud versions and when trying to enter the license number, everything will fail. So if money is an issue, don't waste it on ebay.

Thanks Doug, sometimes it's hard to find things on Adobe's extensive site; I'm sure it there but how do you word the query sometimes it simple and sometimes it not.

It could be legit, but be aware that eventually you'll also run into compatibility problems when using older software on newer machines

When buying old programs on ebay be sure you are shown a picture of an original CD

Unfortunately, even with what seems to be an original, there have been instances where hacked fakes were made, with artwork on the disc that mimics the original
