Rearrange app listings

Is there a way to rearrange the listing of apps? I use some apps more than others, and it seems the ones I don't use are always at the top of the list in CC. (I pin some to the taskbar, but would still like to reorder them in the CC app.) Thanks.

I can't believe no one addressed this issue since mikef18051394 posted it! I've been wanting this feature for a few years as well. How hard could it be? It makes no sense to scroll down every time you want to open your most used apps. Should be an easy fix and update for the Adobe team.

That is an OS thing. It has nothing to do with Adobe. The placement of program shortcuts in either the Windows Start menu or the Mac OS X DOCK can be user arranged. With Windows it can be arranged in alphabetical order or you can drag and drop shorcuts to where you want. Same for shortcuts/Alias's on the desktop of either system.

I think you misunderstand ... we're talking about the apps within the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop. See screen capture below. We want to rearrange the "Apps" in this start up window so that our most commonly used Adobe programs are at the top:

OK I wondered about that. I don't and never will use the CC DTA to start my Adobe programs. In fact I have is set to NOT start with my system and only use it to do updates.

No reason for that app to run constantly, at least for me

I place shortcuts to the Adobe program I use the most on my desktop (I'm a Windows user) and have the others arranged alphabetically in the Start menu\Programs list.

Works for me.

Thank you Just Shoot Me ... as much as I appreciate your quick reply and attempt to help, your answer does not help the thousands of us who do use, and like, the CC Desktop interface. I'm happy that you found a way that works for you, but it's not the answer we're looking for. Hopefully, someone else on the Adobe technical team will get the message and make this seemingly easy fix/update to the Adobe CC start-up window. Again: Thank you for the response, and I'm sure your suggestion will work for some Adobe users out there.

I know this might not help but if you used the links to the left, in the Catagories section, does that narrow the list and placement of app you mostly use?

Yes, that does help to a degree. It's a good suggestion. But some the "categories" they have don't include some of the apps I use at all. For instance I use Fireworks all the time ... yeah, I know what you're thinking. Go ahead and laugh, but for me, it's still one of their best "no frills" apps for quick web work and other graphic applications. And Fireworks is not listed in any of those categories, though I have it installed and it appears in the "All Apps" window only.

So I would still love to see an update that allows for rearranging the apps as I see fit. InDesign, Dreamweaver and Fireworks would be across the top row in my CC Desktop, with PhotoShop, Premiere Pro and Animate in the second! Done.

😉

Again: thanks for your suggestions and quick replies.
