Hey guys.

Some days ago my 1 year prepaid Creative Cloud subscription renewed automatically.

How to cancel your Adobe plan or membership Here it says, that a refund can only be given for a first purchase, but not a renewal.

However, in a Forum post in the German forum, a staff member said that you can also cancel and get a refund within 14 days after renewal.

But I think the post was about monthly payment. Would be even weirder if it would work only for monthly but not prepaid...The reason that I wanna cancel is that first I don't need Adobe right now, and secondly that the prices for my plan have increased by a lot, and i don't think I have been warned about that.

Does anyone know if I, under any circumstances, can cancel? I'm still within the 14 days range. When I go to my account, I can only cancel the renewal for next year, but not refund the now starting year. The German thread said, that someone in the chat could cancel it for me.

I really would appreciate some clarity here, and if possible, get the refund. Maybe someone else has had similar issues?

I suppose that is either a wrong information, an old information or a specific situation according to German law. In the English conditions is clearly written that refund is only fore the initial purchase and not for renewals, not even for a month to month subscription. (When referring a different thread it would be nice to post a link to it, so that other people can follow that thread an get an idea of what had been said there)

You get an e-mail from Adobe approximately one month before the renewal date stating the current conditions at which renewal takes place. I‘m not aware of any recent price hike, so it only may be that you had a student plan and are now in the second year or your student plan converted to a regular plan.

A similar price hike may come when you bought a plan following a promotional offer.

Annual pre-paid plans can be cancelled any time, but the cancellation comes in effect only at the end of the term.

If you had a student plan and you are still eligible for such a plan, you may also ask for the student plan and get a refund of the difference.

In all cases you need to contact customer care as indicated by Nancy OShea and kglad.
