I have a new iMac and want to install (the old) CS4 from dvd.

there is a pop up with setup needs to be updated ...

32bit CS4 will not install on a new Mac that is 64bits

even if you had a compatible computer, you can't use cs4 beyond the trial period because it can't be activated.
