Slow performance on AI and PS

I have a 3 year old 27" iMac i7 with 8GB of RAM and Mojave and a decent graphics card with 2GB. I have 500GB 3rd Party SSD with 150GB left on it. I noticed that as soon as I installed Mojave, Illustrator and PS seemed to run/redraw the screen slower...in tiles instead of a smooth screen redraw. I thought that it was just the new operating system and the apps needed to be updated to work more smoothly with the new OS so I waited for the CSS updates. I recently updated them with no real improvement.

What is the issue and does anyone have any tips on how to recover that former level of screen and app performance.

1. disable hardware acceleration.

2. check these known problems -  Adobe Creative Cloud apps and macOS 10.14 Mojave compatibility issues

I had gone online and disabled the graphics acceleration already. I am now using 10.14.2.

Is there anything in my machine specs that looks underpowered....?

Late 2013 3.5Ghz i7, 8 GB 1600Mhz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096MB Graphics

If not, then I will be patient and watch for patches and upgrades. If so, I won't beat a dead horse. I am getting out of memory messages and use Clean My Mac to recover. I am going to get two 8GB sticks and hopefully I can add them to the 2 open RAM slots to give me a total of 24GB (16GB at the least) just to give this machine a few more years of life at any rate.

What version of Mojave do you have? Apple came out with a patch to 10.14.1, and the next patch is already in beta, so watch for it.

Also, what version of Creative Cloud? Did you mean “CSS”?
