I cannot start the Creative Cloud desktop app. I'm currently running version 5.1.0.407, and when I start it, it says an update is available (to 5.2.0.436). I tell it to perform the update, and it goes through the process, but when I restart it, it's still 5.1, and still says there's an update to 5.2 available. I can't get past this "update available" screen.
first try, resetting the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:
Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R
if that fails, do a clean cc install:
uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thanks for your help kglad.
Ctrl+Alt+R didn't fix it.
I'd rather not go through the hassle of uninstalling and reinstalling every CC app, so I downloaded the uninstaller, ran it, and used the "repair" option, and that seems to have fixed it!
Again, thanks.
