Unable to activate Acrobat Pro 2020 on MacOS Big Sur 11.1

Hello,

The option to activate the above software never shows as an option under Help.  I have uninstalled/installed the software many times, no luck.

I purchased Acrobat Pro 2020 (student & teacher version) from Amazon.  I have the product code and serial number.  The installation appears to go smoothly and accepts the serial number.

Is this an issue with Big Sur or is there another problem?

Thanks in advance,

Pat

signing in is all that's required to "activate".  ie, it's not the same with a subscription as it was for perpetual licenses with older adobe products.

When you go to the Help menu in Acrobat, do you see the option to Sign Out?

If so, then that means you're signed in and the software is activated.

With subscription products, logging in is the same as activation.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.  I am signed in.  When I try to edit a document, I get the following message:

did you use installation file(s) from amazon?  if so, you probably are going to need to contact* adobe support sooner or later so do that now and don't bother with the below steps.  they're going to need to determine if your license is legitimate etc.

otherwise, if you used the cc desktop app from adobe.com to install acrobat (https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud...,

reset your acrobat preferences -: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595848?start=0&tstart=0

if that fails, using the cc desktop app

1. uninstall acrobat dc, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html and its preferences

2. restart your computer

3. reinstall acrobat dc using the cc desktop app

4. test

*

using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

click contact us (= cryptic icon in the lower right)

Is it not running right? There isn't necessarily an Activate step.
