This was an unexpected error (type = not found, status = 404)
your best bet is to try offline activation. also, your default browser should not be opera and needs to be current.
Launch the product.
At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.
Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.
Write down the Request Code.
Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.
Click Offline Activation.
Sign in with your Adobe ID.
Enter your Request code and click Generate.

I've moved your post from Using the Community to the Photoshop forum.
Adobe does not reset activations for Creative Suite.
If you are trying to install/reinstall, it needs to be deactivated on the old computer first.

I have not seen the error message in your screenshot, but this may answer your question. If not, please clarify.

Your response is useles and unhelpful.
I already deactivated my CS6.
When pressing sign in to activate it on the PC it shows this error. CS6 activation servers are NOT shut down yet either so a staff needs to look into this

Once again none of this helps. [cursing removed] even if you choose "Trial Version" you have to still sign in. Its this sign in prompt that used to give QR Code that is not working!

Thank you kind person! This did the trick! I now have a fully activated CS6 again, with the ability to de-activate as needed.
I hope that whatever is causing the 404 Error gets fixed, seeing as the activation server @ https://lm.licenses.adobe.com/vact/ping is still active.

you're welcome. just be careful if you need to deactivate in the future (to install and activate on another computer). you will need an updated non-opera browser (even though it's not clear why that matters). otherwise, your local copy will be deactivated on the local computer but not communicated to adobe and therefore not increasing your activation count. once that occurs it can't be fixed.

I use Chrome as primary, and Safari as Primary on my mobile device.
I'm not exactly sure why the log in from the installer gives a 404 Error in the first place, since th activation servers are online still.
Could you clarify when you say that If someone uses "Opera" their local de-activation will not register through Adobe's servers?

No I am just wondering why having Opera on a computer affects the de-activation process. (I don't use it, and never have)

honestly, i don't understand why the default browser matters (often for things that don't appear to use a browser)..
anyway, your browsers usually work well with adobe. opera is notoriously problematic, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/supported-browsers.html#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20getting....
as for that 404, that a connection problem between your computer and the end-point. i'm pretty sure the end-point is reachable.

I tried the (Trial Version) installer on a separate laptop, with a different internet connection (Not using any keys or anything, just a simple install with the trial period) and it still gave the 404 Error.

Also in tandem, since this was activated using the "Offline" method - if I press de-activate it will properly remove the activation from the count list?
I know for a fact that prior to all of this, and prior to uninstalling CS6 I fully de-activated it on my PC. I went to Help > De-activate. I clicked it again to ensure that the de-activation wording was greyed out.

i know you probably don't know the url that resulted inthe 404, but if you do know, what is it?
and the local computer registering the deactivation always works. the key (and what's not usually obvious) is did that deactivation register with adobe?

understood. (btw, that's not an adobe message; it's a network message.)

Does it imply that there's an issue on my end or on Adobe's activation server end?

you can't tell from the message itself, but if you google it you'll see almost no adobe references. ie, it's most likely not on adobe's end.

If it's not Adobe, then I really wonder what would cause it.
It's a fresh Windows install, with the CS6 download directly from My Account page.
