Unable to keep CS5 Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign open after hardware upgrade (Windows 10).

Hello, Adobe Community:

 

This is my first post here, so please bear with me if I am excluding any useful information. I just performed a much needed hardware upgrade on my Windows 10 PC.  I'll list the relevant components below for reference:

  • ASRock Z390 Taichi LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z390 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Intel Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake 8-Core, 16-Thread, 3.6 GHz (5.0 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I99900K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630
  • Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD - CT1000P1SSD8
  • G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-32GV

I have been using my old Creative Suite 5 applications for a while now without any issues before the hardware upgrade.  Due to some issues with reinstalling Windows on the new SSD, I was not able to directly clone the old HHDs to the SSD to preserve the previous environment from before the upgrade.  I still have the old CS5 installer, however, and after setting up Windows on the new PC, I ran it, installed each of the programs, and tested them out.  They all worked initially, opening old files that I had been working on without any problems (and much faster!).  

As of yesterday, however, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign no longer remain open.  Photoshop and Illustrator shut down after a couple seconds after loading.  InDesign fails to open at all after the loading screen closes.  Illustrator provides the following error message: "Error loading plugins. ScriptingSupport.aip".  The other programs provide no error messages.

I contacted Adobe Customer Support, and was provided a legacy installer for CS5.  I ran this as usual to reinstall CS5, but am experiencing the exact same issues.  I was also provided the Adobe Application Manager and a copy of the Adobe Photoshop Update Version 12 DMG file, neither of which have had an effect.

Since these programs were working initially upon installation after the hardware upgrade, I suspect that the recent Windows 10 Version 1909 update may be causing the instablility, as I believe this was the only major installation that I made after I reinstalled CS5.  I searched through the Support Community posts, but did not find a thread that seems to address the issue that I am having.  Has anyone here experienced something similar?  Any assistance with this matter woudl be greatly appreciated.  I am not currently in a position where I can subscribe to CC, and even if I was, I would rather own older versions of the programs than rent the newest versions.  Thanks!

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions
-also https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html
