I have just purchased a new Lenovo IdeaCentre desktop computer and I am unable to re-download and install my already-paid-for Photoshop Elements 2022 onto it. The download keeps failing and I get an error code, usually 183. I am downloading from my account page on the Adobe Photoshop website.
FYI -- I can download the Photoshop Elements 2024 perfectly well, with no problems at all. Starting to think Adobe have inserted some kind of bug to prevent the download -- that this is something of a con to try and make me buy the 2024 version of Elements. Why else would I be able to download the 2024 version but not the 2022 version? Makes no sense.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks!

Also, just to clarify, I can download the adobe installer no problem, so it's not a problem with the browser. I just can't install it on my PC. The installation process keeps 'failing' and throwing up an Error Code 183.
Thanks for trying to help.

error 183 is a generic error and you should try to redownload the installer using a different browser.

I just found out from Adobe Tech Support that Photoshop Elements 2022 is 'no longer supported', which explains why I was unable to install it. This was my suspicion all along -- a ploy to make you download the latest version and hand over more money. Luckily the Support Agent I spoke to fixed the problem by remote access -- he downloaded the necessary bits and pieces I needed to install the older version. So all sorted now.
Thanks again for all your help.

not supported just means that adobe won't help if you have problems. but it's still usable, installable and activatable.

Not according to the support agent, which is why he had to do what he did so I could install it.

I'm not sure to be honest, I'm not that techy. I was told that, because Photoshop Elements 2022 is 'no longer supported' my new Lenovo IdeaCentre PC with Windows 11 would need a few 'fixes' before I could install the outdated version (outdated only by 2 years I might add). Anyway I gave them remote access to my computer and they downloaded some stuff that did the trick is all I can say. Sorry I can't be more specific.
