Unable to update Lightroom/Lightroom Classic/Photoshop

Community Beginner ,
Feb 11, 2020 Feb 11, 2020

I have started getting a message saying "Creative_Cloud_Set_Up.exe - Bad Image" when on my PC (Windows 10),

I cannot now update and of my Adobe programs.

I have tried deleting them but cannot because there is no Creative Cloud app which, when I try to install, sticks @ 5%.

Any ideas, please?

OK, I sorted it.

Downloaded the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool , removed Creative Cloud and reinstalled it.

Updates working 🙂

Thevillaboy, where are you going to download the Creative_Cloud_Set_Up.exe?  Are you following the steps listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html to Lightroom and Photoshop CC?

Hi, Jeff.

Yes, I did follow this link, but it still occurs - get to 5% installation and hangs.

It says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\Core\AdobePIM.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error".

I can't uninstall any part od Adobe to start gain as this message stops me from doing so.

Excellent, thanks for the update, Theevillaboy!

For future viewers, the Creative Cloud desktop app uninstaller tool is available for download from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html.
