I uninstalled illustrator because it wouldn't open a few of the files I made yesterday. It was asking what file type I wanted to see it in and then when I chose png or jpeg it said I couldn't open the file. Ashleyp93084262 do you receive any specific error messages when attempting to install Illustrator CC 2017? What operating system are you installing Illustrator CC 2017 on?
When you begin the installation process are you utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application as discussed in Download and install Creative Cloud apps?
If so then please review the install log to determine what may be preventing the reinstallation. Details on how to locate the install log can be found at Creative Cloud download and install errors.
You are welcome to update this discussion with any questions, or errors, which you may encounter.
