I have Lightroom 5.7.1, that it is a great tool for raw pictures. Now, I wonder if it is possible to update or upgrade it for the latest version, because it doesn't support Canon“s CR3 file format?

You can NOT Update LR 5.x.x to a newer version.

You CAN Upgrade to the newest version of LR Classic, the tranditional version of LR, by subscribing to the Adobe Photography plan subscription. Which is $9.99 a month and includes both LR Classic and Photoshop.

Or you can download and install the newest Adobe DNG converter program that will convert your Canon CR3 files to DNG negatives that you can then import into LR 5.x.x.

Thank you for clear answer and expertise. That was something I expected (and feared, because of rising costs...). Have a nice day!
