Update to Lightroom 6.14 does not work "

tHello,

I bought used licenses for LR5 (standalone) und LR6 (upgrade). After installing the Application Manager, I could install LR5, but not LR6. The error message on my german copy is "Dieser Patch ist für Sie nicht geeignet" which means something like "This patch is not suitable/applicable for you". Can someone help me please, which steps I have to perform? I'm afraid my LR5 copy is not accepted to be upgraded?

What I noticed by the way:

* I see both licenses in my Adobe account.

* The "Registration" of LR5 shows an error after some seconds ("no internet Connection") - which is not true

Thanks for any help and best regards

Markus

Thanks - Solution: not trying to install the version 6.14 directly. First, install the "basic" Version, then update to 6.14. This should be shown more clearly to the users to avoid further similar (and annoying) installation problems.

Best regards

you can't update lr 5 to lr 6.  you can upgrade from lr 5 to lr 6.

to do that you must install lr 6 (assuming you purchased it).  during that installation you'll be prompted for your lr 6 serial number and then you'll be able to select what you're upgrading from (lr 5) and enter its (lr 5's) serial number.  finally, you'll update lr 6 to 6.14.

start by use using lr 6.14 link below:

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

Updates

  • Download and installation help for Adobe links

  • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3 which also apply to eLearning Sute 2.5.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!
