Upgrade Lightroom 6 on iMac with Ventura

I have just bought a new Imac with Ventura 13.0.1 OS and see that LR6 is not supported.

Is there a version that I can upgrade and run on this new Imac?

Is this LR only available as a monthly plan or can you still buy one-off update and do I have to install an LR app on Imac or Icloud?

A lot of questions as I havent used for some time and out of the loop.

Many thanks for any help.

Alistair

yes, you need a lr subscription for a compatible lr.  however, the photography plan (both lr and lrc and photoshop) is less expensive ~$10/mo for 1 year commitment.

A Photography Plan is your best option (approx $10/month for 12 months). Includes the following:   You may try it free for 7 days.

  • Photoshop CC and Photoshop on iPad
  • Camera Raw
  • Lightroom on desktop, mobile and the web
  • Lightroom Classic (similar to LR6)
  • Portfolio website + hosting
  • Adobe Express (free starter plan)
  • Bridge
  • 20 GB cloud storage (upgradable to 1 TB)
  • Free upgrades for paid subscribers

Hi Nancy

Thanks for your reponse which was very helpful.

I assume that all the photos on my existing library under LR6 will be accessed by this new plan?

Does it also have the same photo editing capability as LR6?

Many thanks again.
