Using 'Design Standard' serial number with 'Master Collection' download.

Hey, i was trying to download design standard, but couldnt find it with the download assistant.

The only thing i could see that was a 'collection' was the master collection.

So i asked someone on Adobe live chat wether i could just download master collection then input my design standard serial, and they seemed to think it would work.

When i enter the serial i get the following message:

"We are unable to validate this serial number for CS6 Master Collection. Please contact customer support."

not really sure what to do, will i need to downlaod design standard instead?

i think customer support missed that one.

adobe serial numbers are product specific.  you can't activate a trial of one product to a full version of another product.

you need design standard cs6.  here it is:  http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=design_standard

Ah really? damn, i wish they would have told me... will have to re-install the whole thing now!

yes, you should uninstall master collection.

then run the cleaner:  http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

then restart your computer before installing design standard.
