You bought from a reseller, didn't you?
Some resellers sell license as individual licenses when they are actually part of an enterprise package. This is against Adobe's terms, and when their periodic spot checks reveal that someone is using an enterprise license as an individual, the serial number is invalidated.

This is a public forum, not Adobe support. Users, including the ACPs and MVPs, can't provide support for account, subscription, billing, download, or product activation issues. Support for those issues requires an Adobe employee.
Adobe provides support through the Chat function on the contact page or through a phone call. There is no email support.
CHAT: Click the following to contact Adobe customer support staff for help:

You must be signed in with your Adobe ID and allow cookies in your web browser for this to work. Disable any ad, pop-up, or script blockers. This is the link to the US website. If you are not in the US, the site should redirect to the page appropriate to the region associated with your ID.

Reach out to the vendor who sold you the license.

Pozdrawiam wszystkich. Kupujćie i wzbogacajcie bogatych.

That's not entirely correct. It is correct that there is no longer any support for the program. But it is still possible to activate CS6 programs. So I think the support has to check why you get the message that your serial number is invalid.
Be sure to ask only for activation support.
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience

if your license was revoked you might be able to get some clarification from adobe:
there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:
chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-com...
