I want to remove some folders on "CC" creative cloud, but keep backup external to adobe ecosystem or propietary anything.

My plan was to use my CC PC/desktop file manager, select a folder from CC synched file system on my pc, and select a folder to use "send to" for zip file output.

I started to test this today, and was not succesful.

I get an error "Windows was unable to add one or more empty directories to the compressed (zipped) folder. "

So I'm now wondering what my options are, thinking maybe :

1) download CC folder on synch adobe cc to my desktop or external drive

2)perform zip on external stored location

3)verify zip/unzip works external source to another external destination

4)delete from cc folder

Any feedback or ideas /concerns from experience would be appreciated.

Thanks, Stephanie

copy whatever you want from your local sync'd folder to wherever you want.  zip what you copied, if you want.

delete what you don't want on cc (presumably what you copied).
