After 2020 July update, all programs are very slow, especially Dreamweaver and InDesign

Extremely frustration!

Since we installed the 15.11 InDesign, 20.2 Dreamweaver, and Photoshop 21.21, we have had nothing but problems. InDesign, if you open more than one document at a time, forget it. It completely freezes. Dreamweaver, can write two lines of code before you see the first character!

Probably best to uninstall and go back a few version.

The lags have costed a lot of time.

Running on Windows 10, version 1903

I know that Dreamweaver's product engineers are still investigating latency issues in DW 20.2.

Meanwhile, try this Windows Registry workaround posted in the DW forum on July 13 by Adobe employee, Kratika Agarwal.

  1. Close DW.
  2. Hold down Windows key + R.
  3. Type regedit.
  4. Go to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver 2020\Temp File List\
  5. Delete the Temp File List folder and restart Dreamweaver (before deleting, make a backup first by right-clicking and select export).
  6. Restart your computer.

Post back if you have any questions.
