I just did a software update (MacOS Sierra version 10.12.6) and now it asks me to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime when trying to open my installed cs5 photoshop. I found the answer from a last year post saying to install Download Java for OS X 2015-001 but when I downloaded it, it said this is an older version of the Java I have installed and wouldn't let me install it.

Hi Anna_flower,

As you have mentioned you are having trouble using your Adobe CS5 apps after updating your operating system to latest Mac OS Sierra, Adobe CS5 is a very old software and has not been tested on any latest operating systems hence you may have compatibility issues and it may or may not work on the latest operating systems.

However you may try following steps given in the following FAQ and reinstall the product and see if that helps: Installing Creative Suite on a new Mac or macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or later
