Hi All,

I hope anyone is able to provide a solution to my problem.

When I open any Apps (such as LR, PS, FR, etc) the App opens, but there is a popup constantly opening which prevents the Application to launch. The popup appears for approx. 2 seconds then its closing but immediately reopening. I can watch this for hours, it never stops.

The popup looks liek this:

2020-12-07 14_54_38-Adobe Fresco.png

I tried to uninstall the apps and reinstalled them, I also tried to clean the OOBE folder which also had no effect on this problem. I use Windows 10 in most recent version and all of my drivers (i.e. graphic card) are uptodate.

What is remarkable - in my Adobe account I see that many sessions are open with "Internet Explorer, Wondows 10". Microsoft Edge is of course installed in the OS as default, but I never use it and its not defined as my standard browser. I assume therefore, that this is somehow in context with Microsoft Edge....

Any ideas how to fix this issue!

Many thanks in advance
Markus

check your account to verify your subscription is what you expect and to verify your adobe id.  then sign out of all devices shown on your account pages, https://account.adobe.com

finally sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using the same adobe id used to verify your subscription: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

Many thanks for your support! I followed your instructions with the following procedure:

  1. Checked my subscription of my account - it is active, evrything seems to be fine
  2. I signed out / stopped all devices as shown in the account pages
  3. I signed in my CC Desktop application again with the correct log-in which was successful

...but unfortunately the problem with the pop up in PS, LR and FR is not resolved.
Reader DC works fine however (as before).

reset the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, try to repair
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails go ahead and uninstall/reinstall per the above link

if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Many thanks for your additional instruction, this is very much appreciated!

Before I started with the process you recommended, I started Fresco again and it amazingly worked without having the popups again.

I did not change anything between the test yesterday (which failed) and today. Even the Compter was not rebooted since yesterday, it was just in stand-by mode.
I have no idea what caused the issue during startup of the Apps, but apparently it was not a problem of any settings or the installation on my computer...
All of the Apps (Fresco, PS, LR etc) are working fine again. Its really a miracle...

Anyway, thanks again for your prompt support and assistance. This was really appreciated!
