All Creative Cloud Programs are Crashing at Launch

System Specs:

  • MacOS Mojave (version 10.14.6)
  • All Adobe programs updated to latest versions

Issue:

Every single Adobe program is crashing upon launch. I don't get an error message, the programs don't load past the startup screen, and sometimes they don't even get there. I get beachballs as soon as the program's launch, and I end up having to force quit.

Attempted fixes:

  • Checked Font Book to make sure Verdana and Tahoma are enabled as suggested in this support post
    • (Tahoma was disabled, but has since been enabled)
  • Installed the CopyPlugin.vbs as indicated in another support post
  • Attempted uninstalling and reinstalling affected programs
  • Have restarted more times than I can remember
  • Have tried installing previous versions of programs
    • Yes, I made sure there was only one version of the program in the system at a time

I'm a marketing and design director and use Adobe Creative Cloud for work, daily and I'm getting desperate for this to be fixed.

Does anyone have any ideas?

first try, resetting the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, do a clean cc install:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
