Can software be loaded to and run from E: drive when C: drive is too Full

Thanks to the ever growing Windows 10 presence on my C:drive, - My Ps Elements & Premier Elements 2021 is going without the offered updates, bells & whistles.

As of the last one offered this February, it gets so far then stops, claiming insufficient disk space.  (There is 8 Gb free).

The C: drive is regularly "cleaned-up" to no avail.

As I have another internal SSD fitted (E:) for file storage with plenty of space available, is it possible to uninstall the programs and reload to My E: drive and set it to avoid future issues.?  Plain language advice appreciated.

You will continue to have issues unless you get a larger system drive.  All applications use some system drive space.  The system also needs room for system files and temp files. How large is your C drive?

That is a small drive.  Although many here say 256 GB is enough, I don't have less than 512GB on any of my computers.

You ned to uninstall your apps, change your default installation location in the ACC app under preferences and reinstall apps.

Thanks John,

That looks like quite a challenging process to me. I wish that these options were spelled out plainly by Adobe when I first started out with Photoshop type programs. I am looking at copying whole system over to a replacement SSD. with all the precautionary actions that brings.

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for that suggestion, I'll have a look at it. Nothing to lose probably.

Its 120 Gb. Bob. You could be right.

I'm starting to look at copying the whole system over to a replacement SSD drive. A bit of a daunting prospect to my psyche.
