Have you installed all the Windows Updates?

What wxact version (Build) of Windows is installed?

In the Start menu type Winver and post a screen shot of the dialog box that comes up.

For privacy and stability purposes I tweaked Windows Update in the GPO (less frequent updates, etc), could it be the problem ?

Thx again

Just so you know here is what I tweaked regarding Windows Update (Windows Update for Entreprises).

First screenshot is "Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received"

Second one is " Select when Quality Updates are received".

Could that be linked to my problem ?

Well it looks like you have the newest version of Windows.

so I suspect this is a Drive/Folder/File permissions problem.

Your uername does not have sufficient rights for the folder that CC desktop app want to use.

Are you logged into Windows as the Administrator?

Yes, the only user I created is a member of the Administrators group... Moreover I execute the installer as an Administrator with a right click...

Also, I stripped some components and features from my windows ISO to have a more minimal OS, mostly for privacy again.

Could this be involved in my issue here ?

Yeah sure. Any of the things you did for whatever privacy you think you are gaining could be part or all of the problem you are having.

Is this a 32-bit or a 64-bit system - or is it an ARM system such as a Surface Pro X?

If not sure, see https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/92e56ebe-6457-4913-8aac-cdb1010bce94/32bit...
