The cc apps Lightroom and Premier both show UPDATE but when I press either (or both using “update all”) the only response is the up button ch to “Waitin....”. I‘ve hunted for solutions everywhere but with no success.

confirm that you can connect to the secure adobe servers.

for help with that and other common secure adobe.com connection problems read, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

if you see both logos, using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

or contact the Adobe Twitter team at @AdobeCare

Serious?  I have done all the logical things. Trust me, posting a question on here is a last resort.  I have been trying to do these updates for several days - maybe more than a week.  I just want it to work.  I would think that somebody, somewhere has an answer.
