Classic Photoshop CS6 without installing CC??

I want to install my old CS6 Photoshop and use my original serial number for it and NEVER install any Creative Cloud anything. I don't want to sign into my Adobe account to run Photoshop beyond registering my serial number if need be. I want it to install just as it did when I first purchsed it before Creative Cloud was required. I don't mind being limited to the earliest version, I don't need any updates and I don't need ACR at all.

Every previous attempt to install CS6 since the release of CC has automatically installed CC despite my wishes NOT to install it. It's like malware or something. I have never and will never subscribe with anything Adobe. I just want to use CS6 like I did when I first paid for it. I might have to find some old disks to find my installer files I first downloaded on the release of CS6, but I should have them somewhere. Later updates of CS6 downloaded from Adobe install CC without asking and with no way to opt out. Attempts at unistalling CC either leave CS6 unable to start or CC just installs itself again automatically.

Has anyone been able to use their legacy CS6 without CC ever installing or successfully, completely removed CC and retained a functional CS6?

I simply wont tollerate CC on my new PC. I'll use CS5 or finally, once and for all stop using any Photoshop or Adobe anything entirely if I can't get this working.

Adobe, please let me use the software I paid for without running newer additional software I don't want or need. There really should be a Howto about this, but any web links about CS6 I find now just link to pages about subscribing to CC.

Signed, a once loyal and loving Adobe customer. I spent thousands at Adobe between 1994 and 2012 and I'd hope I could get some official support about this.

First, use https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html to remove all traces of Adobe programs

When you install CS6 be sure to only do updates from inside the program, so the new manager is not (should not be) installed

There's nothing Adobe on the PC now, it was a fresh install of Windows 10 on a new motherboard and disk about a month ago. I want to be sure I have a reliable method of installing PS CS6 that won't install anything CC before I put it on this fresh computer.

"When you install CS6 be sure to only do updates from inside the program, so the new manager is not (should not be) installed"
I'm pretty sure CC has been installed when I updated from inside Photoshop. My solution to this I think is just going to be to not update it period. I don't recall there being any improvements after release that mattered to me except ACR, and the latest for CS6 is so old now anyway? There's no point in updating it from the first release version. Are you on Mac John? Maybe that'd different. But I've moved computers several times since 2012 and every time when I install PS CS6 on the fresh system and update it in any way, CC gets installed and gets to work using up CPU cycles and pestering me about subscribing. I REALLY want to avoid that this time. If I can't I guess I'll just install CS5. At least I know that won't install CC.

1. Remove everything by Adobe from your system with the Adobe Cleaner Tool.

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

2. Restart your computer.

3. Install CS6 from your installation disks or downloads that you received at purchase.

4. At the prompt, enter your serial number.

NOTE 1 : Creative Suite installers won't work on macOS Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave without terminal workarounds. See the help article below.
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

NOTE 2: Legacy Creative Suite will never run on Catalina or Big Sur.  Only the latest Creative Cloud products are compatible with newer OSs.

NOTE 3: Legacy Creative Suite is discontinued, unsupported & on life support.  Use at your own risk. Nobody can predict how much longer it will work.

Good luck!

I'm on a PC. And it's this kind of thing that will keep me on a PC. Every new MacOS update sounds like a mine field of older software breaking. If it's a Windows app, it'll probably run on any future windows.

Oh, I know the status of CS6 all too well. But Windows software that was released for Windows XP circa 2001 stiill generally all works on Windows 10. And Win 10 is supported to at least 2025 and I suspect Window 11 will run all those same apps too. So, CS6 will be running just fine on Windows for a long time to come. I've used it for 12 years now with no problems. I suspect the "risks" are very low.

-you MUST do what it says in Note: Very Important Instructions
-https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2015-direct-download-links.html#download-instructions
-the prodesign links go directly to Adobe's file server, so this process will

IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
-since Adobe does sometimes remove old versions from the server
